Episode CLXXIII...Pints and Pages Part One

This episode features some good time conversation from Pints and Pages,a recent event held at The Cameron House in Toronto. This event brought together some of the GTA's finest up and coming local comic book creators to hang out, draw, have a few pints and share some laughs. Part one features artists T. Medeiros ( Tales of Lost) Joe Osei Bonsu ( Heroes of The World) and Aaron Ong ( MaddSketch )

 

 

 

Episode CLXIX...Kasey Pierce

I visited Grand Rapids Comic Con where I sat down for an in depth discussion with author Kasey Pierce, writer of Pieces of Madness and the upcoming Norah. Kasey is one of the coolest cats to ever grace this show.We kosmic kids enjoyed a pint together talking comics, writing, family, religion, childhood, the '80's and much much more.   This episode also features a foreword about Ms. Pierce provided by her sensai himself, Dirk Manning. And, as if that wasn't enough, as a prologue I got to spend two minutes with Anthony Carrigan ( Victor Zsasz ) of TV's Gotham.

Episode CLXIV...FanExpo Self Publishing/Marketing panel w/ Ted Woods, Jules Faulkner and Jay Fosgitt

The Jedi Ras moderates his very first live FanExpo panel featuring Michigan comic creators Jay Fosgitt and Ted Woods as well as London, Ontario's own Jules Faulkner. A great deal of fun was had and perhaps a few things learned as well as these three fine artists lay down their own personal paths to self publishing and marketing through a very lively discussion and at times, debate. Episode CLXIII...FanExpo 2015 w/ Ty Templeton and Katie Cook

Welcome to our 3rd annual FanExpo Extravaganza! It was the best year yet for this epic monster of a con as The Jedi Ras brings his guerilla pod stylies to the floor featuring a chat with Canadian comic book artist Ty Templeton about growing up in the L5J, being part of a legendary Toronto family, the origins of the creation of Superman and how he came to work on Batman '66. Also featured is a chat with Michigan native and current killer artist for My Little Pony, Katie Cook !

Episode CLV...Comicstorically Speaking

Quod Erat Inveniendum! This week we feature a chat thought lost with the Comicstorian from Denver Comic Con '15. We'd had some trouble locating this file due to technical difficulties arising from recording on site at DCC but El Hawkez refused to give up and now The Jedi Ras is very pleased to bring you a very fun interview with comic book YouTuber , The Comicstorian. Following that, Da Nerdette, host of The Comics and Coffee podcast drops by to share her reactions to all the amazing trailer goodness that came out of San Diego comic Con last weekend, focusing on  Batman v. Superman and The Suicide Squad.

Episode CLI...Denver Comic Con 2015

 

The Jedi Ras heads to Denver Comic Con to hook up with his Points of Interest podcast network co-horts El Hawkez and Francis The Other Guy to represent P.O.I in the Podcast Peak section of DCC'15. This episode features chats with Star Wars author Kevin J. Anderson about the EU, it's history and what's new on his agenda as well as a talk with his padawan Peter J. Wacks, author of Second Paradigm. Also, The Jedi Ras experiences Denver as any ganjable enthusiast would, hear the results of his wacky adventure and enjoy some clips from Rob Paulsen and Randy Rogel's Animaniac's sing a long!
